Course Objectives

  • Participants will be able to:
      • Define behavior and the basic functions of behavior 
      • Define medium-intensity behavior strategies and describe when they should be used
      • Identify the fundamentals of medium-intensity behavior strategies
      • Identify and apply behavior strategies that are likely to address access as a function of medium-intensity behavior
      • Identify and apply behavior strategies that are likely to address avoidance as a function of medium-intensity behavior 
      • Describe implementation goals for medium-intensity behavior strategies and identify resources that support implementation
  • In order to:
    • Teach, practice, and reinforce behavior skills while keeping students engaged in learning and instruction.
