The Outstanding Behavior Advocate Program is the Behavior Alliance’s way of celebrating the outstanding work educators in our partner districts are doing to encourage positive behavior. This initiative highlights teachers and staff who model evidence-based practices and foster supportive, inclusive learning environments.

Nomination Process

Outstanding Behavior Advocates are nominated by a member of their school’s staff or faculty for their efforts in promoting positive behavior and serving as role models for others. Selected honorees will be featured in our monthly newsletter, The Behavior Alliance Advisor, highlighted on our social media accounts, and will receive a certificate of recognition. In addition, their supervisors will receive an email acknowledging their achievement.

Who to Nominate

Any school employee is eligible for nomination if they:

  1. Actively promote positive student behavior.
  2. Demonstrate use of evidence-based practices.
  3. Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  4. Serve as a positive model for other professionals.

School employees may be nominated by a member of their school’s staff or faculty using the Google Form below. The form prompts nominators to describe how the educator supports positive student behavior and to highlight specific qualities or practices that distinguish their approach.

Upon receipt, nominations will be reviewed and evaluated quarterly by Behavior Alliance staff using a rubric provided in the form. Nominations receiving a score of Average, Above Average, or Exemplary will qualify for recognition.

Following selection, Behavior Alliance staff will contact the selected individuals via email to obtain permission to feature their recognition in our monthly newsletter and on official social media platforms.

After receiving written permission from the selected individuals to be featured, Outstanding Behavior Advocates will be posted on our social media accounts, will be recognized in the following month’s edition of the Behavior Alliance Advisor, will receive a certificate of recognition, and will receive a positive email to their supervisor highlighting their achievement. Additionally, selected individuals will be posted on our website to provide examples regarding the implementation of evidence-based practices.
