Course Objectives

  • Participants will be able to:
    • Describe the purpose of a classroom teaching matrix
    • Define and identify behavior norms for classroom routines that align with school-wide behavior norms
    • Define and list corresponding, contextually relevant behavior skills for each behavior norm and routine
    • Describe how the norms, skills, and routines in the classroom matrix will be taught and reinforced in the classroom 
  • In order to:
    • Create a classroom matrix with regular routines listed to explicitly teach, acknowledge, and redirect student behavior
